Typhur Fast Nugget Ice Maker FAQ
Basic Usage Questions
Please note that any water or water stains on the ice maker are a result of pre-shipment testing, which is done to ensure proper functionality.
Nugget ice has a soft texture, so it melts more easily than cube or bullet ice. This is normal and the ice can be used as usual.
Note: Using water with high minerals, impurities, or added sugar can cause sandy-textured ice. We recommend using filtered or distilled water, and try to conduct continuous testing for no less than 30 minutes.
We recommend deep cleaning every two weeks. You can purchase the Typhur Ice Maker Cleaner & Descaler in 4-packs or 12-packs in our Amazon shop or with the bundle.
Water leakage may occur if the bottom drain valve is not tightened properly or due to internal pipeline issues. To fix this, retighten the bottom drain valve, and if the leakage persists, please contact customer service.
The noise is normal and results from routine operations such as heat dissipation, water pump operation, and ice shedding. No action is needed as this is part of the unit's standard functioning.
The louder noise may be caused by issues such as abnormal fan operation, blockage of the evaporator by ice cubes, internal scaling, or compressor problems. To resolve this, make sure the ice maker is placed on a flat, clean surface with at least 6 inches of space around it, check for blockages in the rear fan and clean if necessary, and run the self-cleaning cycle to remove any frozen components, using a descaling agent for deeper cleaning if required, and if the issue persists, please contact customer service.
