1. What is the maximum temperature the InstaProbe™ can withstand? Is it suitable for baking or only for measuring the temperature of meat?

572 °F (299.9°C). The InstaProbe™ is applicable for a variety of cooking scenarios such as meat, candy-making, baking, deep frying etc.

2. What is the response time for the InstaProbe™?

Full reading in 0.75 seconds (0.15 seconds time constant).

3. How do I clean the InstaProbe™?

Clean with alcohol or a food-safe anti-bacterial wipe after each use, to avoid cross contamination. It is recommended to rinse the InstaProbe™ with running water quickly and efficiently to clean the device.

4. Can I put the InstaProbe™ in a dishwasher?

DO NOT place the InstaProbe™ inside a dishwasher, handwash only.

5. Can I leave the InstaProbe™ in the oven when I roast?

DO NOT leave the InstaProbe™ in the oven. InstaProbe™ is an instant read thermometer for hand-held use. If exposed to sustained temperatures over 122℉ (50°C), the plastic material could potentially melt.

7. How do I replace the battery?

Remove the battery cover with a standard screwdriver. Slide two AAA batteries into the slot.

8. Does the screen support reading in the dark?

Yes. The embedded OLED screen displays clear readings under any lighting conditions.

9. Can the temperature scale be switched?

Yes. Simply remove the battery cover with a standard screwdriver, then press the [°F/°C] button to select the temperature scale.
